Make your health and fitness goals a reality in 2017!

Have you made it a New Year’s resolution to make a make big change in your health and fitness in 2017?

After a decade of working with people on their health and fitness, I’ve gained some insight into why some people achieve their goals and why others don’t.
I’ve seen that making a lasting difference in our health and fitness comes from making sustainable changes in our daily habits, however small they may be. Often, magazines sell us the idea that if we just do one killer workout a week, or drink nothing but green juice for five days, we’ll get the body we’ve always dreamed of. While these things can be beneficial, they won’t give us lasting change. Making a real change in our health and fitness comes from how we show up for ourselves each and every day- How are we eating today? How are we sleeping today? How much exercise did we get?
In that vein, I’ve created a new program, THRIVE in 2017, where I will work with eight clients to make sustainable, lasting change in their health and fitness over a five-month period.
How the program works:
On average, it takes 21 days to form a new habit. So, at the start of each month, you will choose one habit to focus on for the month (i.e., eat clean, exercise three days a week, go to sleep by 10:30pm). We will do a one-on-one coaching session at the beginning of the month to get a clear idea of what habit you want to focus on and create an action plan to make the goal achievable. You will keep a daily ‘habit log’ to track your progress and at the beginning of each week you will send me three, small goals you will focus on that support your habit change.
The program is five months long, and each month we will work on creating a new healthy habit in the following areas:
Month 1: Food
Month 2: Exercise
Month 3: Sleep
Month 4: Self-Care
Month 5: Your Choice
By the end of the five months, my guarantee is that you will feel a significant shift in your health and well-being. Too many times we make New Year’s resolutions that go unrealized because we don’t have the proper support to make them a reality. Make 2017 the year you thrive.
